Planning for Paris with Kids.

We are planning a large trip this summer but I have broken the trip into 2 trips.  Whenever we travel for longer than one week, I like to think about nearby travel opportunities in order to have more experiences, and sort of extend the trip.

We knew we wanted to go to Spain but I also wanted to travel to Paris with the kids. We decided to book a multi-city flight and fly into Paris, spend 4 ½ days in Paris and Versailles and then take the train to Girona, Spain.  We will spend time on the Costa Brava, Girona, Barcelona and Platja d’Aro.

Since we have traveled to Paris (without kids), I had a rough idea of the travel itinerary.  However, we are traveling vegan and will need to find restaurants that will be accommodating. That might be tricky with the very little French we know.

Notre Dame was on our original itinerary. Luckily, we were able to visit before the fire.
Inside Notre Dame, quite literally breathtaking.
The kids are definitely looking forward to visiting the Eiffel Tower.

To be continued…

*Packing for an eclectic trip and how I will get the most out of my wardrobe (this is going to be a shocker for myself since I ALWAYS get teased about how much I pack). John even takes pictures of what our immense “suitcase scene” looks like.

This is from one of our cruises. I had so much luggage that I actually had to ship some things to our hotel. BTW, this is a super slick idea for people that overpack (like me).

*Vegan dining in France and Spain and how I plan to fly to Europe with my kiddos (sanely or mostly sane).

So far I have booked:

  1. Tickets for the Eiffel Tower
  2. 2 AirBnBs for Paris
  3. Train tickets to get to Spain
  4. A rental car for Spain

I still need to logistically plan out our Disneyland day and any meal reservations we might need in Paris.  I have heard that plant based dining in Disneyland Paris can be tricky so I will be researching that.
